The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) works to eradicate poverty and reduce inequalities through sustainable development across 170 countries. Each year, UNDP tracks and reports on progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 17 global objectives designed to improve life for people and the planet by 2030. The SDGs Today platform provides an interactive web experience that makes this complex data accessible and engaging for a global audience.
UNDP needed to update their annual SDGs Today platform with a focus on health—and the timing couldn't have been more critical. COVID-19 had derailed years of progress on global healthcare, putting vulnerable populations at even greater risk.
The previous year's website had won a Webby Award, which meant expectations were high. UNDP needed to raise the bar while addressing one of the most pressing issues of our time: how the pandemic had threatened decades of health advancements worldwide.
We worked with the UNDP team to build a microsite that explored the different dimensions of the global health crisis and showcased what UNDP was doing to find solutions.
The site made complex data understandable through interactive design, clear storytelling, and compelling visuals. We highlighted how COVID-19 impacted healthcare systems, access to medicine, maternal health, disease prevention, and more—while showing the pathways UNDP was creating to get progress back on track.

We believe in the hard work people are doing to address the world's most pressing problems. Every day, our agency fights to turn visions of social change into concrete realities.
